Rehabilitation Counseling
We help individuals with disabilities, injuries, or We assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their vocational goals through comprehensive support services.
Work Readiness Curriculum
Our curriculum includes impression management, resume and cover letter help, soft skills and professional development, goal setting, and a mock interview trial.
Financial Literacy
We provide a realistic job search based on one’s environment, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience level.
Work Trial Assessment
We offer placement into unpaid, short-term work experiences to evaluate a client’s job skills, work style, and endurance level.
Job Search
Our job search consists of a realistic job search in one’s environment, knowledge, skills, abilities,
and experience level.
Job coaching
Refers to a combination of processes that encourage, support, and mentor employees in various areas of career development and professional improvement. It can require diverse approaches to helping teams and individuals develop their skills and learn the various aspects of their jobs. Additionally, effective job coaching can have a direct impact on a company’s growth and success.
Travel Navigation
Helps individuals with disabilities navigate rural and urban transportation systems,
increasing their independence. Our navigators use a step-by-step scoring system and assess safety precautions.
The Independent Living Skills
This program helps persons with disabilities lead successful independent lives. The
curriculum includes cleanliness, personal hygiene, mental and physical health, financial literacy, personal safety, work readiness, and a cooking class.
Resource Navigation
Helps with navigating resources in the area that can benefit one’s independent living.
Group Counseling
Helps when peers come together to talk about their strengths, struggles, accomplishments, and goals. Peers offer support and build relationships.
At Purposework., each consumer works independently with a vocational rehabilitation counselor to assess their goals, disabilities, environment, and workplace and how all these areas work together to achieve their independent living goals. We use motivational interviewing as a counseling method to challenge feelings of ambivalence to change, increase motivation, and encourage our consumers.
